Protection of criminal victims
During the last 6 months, AWEN has been defending 19 victims of criminal offenses in the District Courts. All cases have experienced crimes of gender-based violence against them and their family members.

16 DAYS OF ACTIVISM AGAINST GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE
In the framework of the "16 days of activism against gender-based violence", which started on November 25, 2023, a day which marks the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, AWEN developed a series of awareness-raising activities in different cities of Albania.
In addition to numerous activities, which lasted until December 10, the World Human Rights Day, the Women's Empowerment Network in Albania distributed messages against sexual violence in key points of the country (it affects one in three girls throughout the world), femicide (killing a girl or woman because of her gender), prejudices of patriarchal families when girls are born, etc.
International Women's Rights Day
AWEN was part of the protest organized on March 8 on International Women's Rights Day against social injustices and inequalities.
