Protection of criminal victims
During the last 6 months, AWEN has been defending 19 victims of criminal offenses in the District Courts. All cases have experienced crimes of gender-based violence against them and their family members.

"CHARACTERS IN FOCUS", DISCUSSIONS ON THE CHALLENGES OF GIRLS AND WOMEN SURVIVORS OF GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE
Psycho-Social Center "Vatra" and AWEN, on December 21, 2023, were part of the "Characters in focus" activity organized by the Center for Openness and Dialogue (COD) within the "16 days of activism against gender-based violence".
During discussions with high school students, psychologists, social workers and representatives of CSOs, the challenges of girls and women survivors of gender-based violence, forms of support and their social reintegration were discussed.
International Women's Rights Day
AWEN was part of the protest organized on March 8 on International Women's Rights Day against social injustices and inequalities.
