Protection of criminal victims
During the last 6 months, AWEN has been defending 19 victims of criminal offenses in the District Courts. All cases have experienced crimes of gender-based violence against them and their family members.

"FEMFEST" FESTIVAL
AWEN during the month of March 2024, joined "FemFest", a festival of activities with shows and discussions, which aims to raise awareness.
Among the many panels such as "There is no schedule for violence and harassment in the workplace", "Women who open paths", etc., women and girls came together to talk about the challenges they have gone through to achieve success, but also talking about other issues.
Leaders of legislative institutions in the country were also part of the discussion panels, where they unanimously spoke that there is still a lot to be done against gender-based violence in Albania.
In order to combat this phenomenon, great importance was attached to the cooperation between institutions and civil society.
International Women's Rights Day
AWEN was part of the protest organized on March 8 on International Women's Rights Day against social injustices and inequalities.
