Protection of criminal victims
During the last 6 months, AWEN has been defending 19 victims of criminal offenses in the District Courts. All cases have experienced crimes of gender-based violence against them and their family members.

INFORMATION SESSION ON PROPERTY RIGHTS IN PORTO ROMANO
On October 18, 2023, a training session was held in Porto Romano with women and girls to increase their awareness of property rights.
Women and girls were informed about equality between men and women regarding property rights, women's rights regarding property inheritance, and property issues related to violence.
Acquaintance with the institutions where they can go and ways to resolve property conflicts were discussed with the women and girls present.
This activity was developed by the Association "Gender, Peace and Security" within the Strategic Plan of AWEN - Women's Empowerment Network in Albania, supported by the Swedish International Agency for Development and Cooperation - Sida, through the program "Women's Empowerment, Protection of of Rights: The Road to Gender Equality in Albania".
International Women's Rights Day
AWEN was part of the protest organized on March 8 on International Women's Rights Day against social injustices and inequalities.
