Protection of criminal victims
During the last 6 months, AWEN has been defending 19 victims of criminal offenses in the District Courts. All cases have experienced crimes of gender-based violence against them and their family members.

INFORMATIVE SESSION ABOUT THE ELECTIONS IN POGRADEC
In cooperation with the Central Election Commission of Albania, AWEN - the Women's Empowerment Network in Albania, held on October 27, 2023 in Pogradec a meeting for education, information and awareness about the inclusion of women in the electoral process, within the project "Increase of the Level of Women's Involvement in Decision-Making and Politics".
These activities aim to increase the discussion about the level of involvement of women in decision-making positions at the central and local levels of government, as well as to increase the awareness and engagement of interest groups in efforts to ensure the improvement of the representation of women in decision-making.
International Women's Rights Day
AWEN was part of the protest organized on March 8 on International Women's Rights Day against social injustices and inequalities.
